Restored in the 60s is a real ex-libris of the fortifications of square miles of the old War of Lagos. Place a small museum, allusive to the Portuguese Discoveries and, with regard to the history and archeology, has developed a work that aims conservation and promotion of cultural heritage.

Built in the end of the XVII century and deployed in the area overlooking the Cloths of Wall, near the Avenue of the Discoveries, the fort has a chapel with invocation to Santa Barbara, and a set of tiles of the early XVIII century.
